Introducing our new logo

We are proud to unveil the new logo for DeafBlind South Africa, accompanied by our inspiring slogan:
“Strength in Silence, Vision in Touch.”

New DBSA Logo

Color Symbolism:
Our logo features two meaningful colors:

  • Yellow represents hope, a fundamental value that guides us in empowering our members.
  • Purple symbolizes importance and royalty, reflecting the unique and proud identity of our community.

Logo Description for the Visually Impaired:
The design combines lowercase letters ‘d’ and ‘b’, where the ‘d’ is in yellow and the ‘b’ is in purple, positioned slightly lower. Their overlapping backs form a unified symbol that captures the essence of our organization.

  • Braille Integration: Below the ‘d’ is the Braille letter for ‘D’ in purple, representing accessibility and inclusion.
  • Sign Language Element: Above the ‘b’ is the sign language hand sign for ‘B’ in yellow, highlighting the importance of communication.

The bold font of the letters makes the logo instantly recognizable, even without accompanying text, ensuring accessibility for all.

Text Details:

  • To the right of the symbol, you’ll find “DeafBlind” in bold purple font, with ‘D’ and ‘B’ capitalized.
  • “SOUTH AFRICA” appears below it in thinner, fully capitalized purple font.
  • The slogan, “Strength in Silence, Vision in Touch,” is displayed on a yellow background in white capital letters to create a strong visual impact.

We believe our new logo and slogan perfectly encapsulate our mission and the strength of our community. We look forward to continuing our journey with this fresh and meaningful representation.
