Keep your face to the sunshine and you can not see a shadow

🟠 Sunday: Celebration & Reflection

Helen Keller Quote:

Celebrating Our Strength

As DeafBlind Awareness Week comes to a close, we take a moment to pause, breathe, and reflect on the journey we’ve shared together.

We began with the power of touch — how DeafBlind individuals communicate through their hands, hearts, and deep presence.

We listened to stories of resilience and breakthrough.

We explored tools that empower independence.

We talked about kindness, safety, and the importance of creating inclusive spaces.

We celebrated the role of friendship, networks, and human connection.

And now, we honour it all — not with an ending, but with a new beginning.

💬 “This week reminded me that my voice matters, even if it’s not spoken out loud.” – DBSA member

Let’s take what we’ve learned and carry it forward — into our homes, our communities, and our shared future.

🌈 Would you like to leave a message of support or appreciation for the DeafBlind community?

You’re warmly invited to contribute to our “Wall of Words” — a space filled with hope, encouragement, and connection.

Every message adds light.

🧡 Together, we’ve celebrated not just awareness — but dignity, possibility, and the power of choosing courage.

Thank you for walking this week with us. Let’s keep walking together.
